This was taken at Carmel, CA. It was a sunny Sunday when we decided to go for road trip while the sun is up and so inviting! We enjoyed the multi-million neighborhood and was even had the chance to meet one of the famous golfer in Pebble Beach (I forgot his name). He was a very nice man, just walking with his dog and  suggested to take picture of me and my husband. We were thrilled when we look him up in the internet, he's famous. (that I don't even remember him now) LOL!

It's 2012!

When was the last time I was here??
And I stayed lazy sharing my great trips and experience in the previous months! Yes. I did a lot from November to December 2011.

November 2011, we went for vacation and visit my husband's family in the East Coast. But first, we did tour New York, I mean not everything about NYC. But seriously, we did a lot in a couple of days we were there (before going to Philadelphia and New Jersey). My only wish was to spend my birthday, the November 20th on top of the Empire State Building. That's all I wished for and I'm all done for New York.

(July 2012)-continued..
We left the house evening and flight was about 9:30PM from SJA to JFK. And that was the start of our whole trip.....
To make the story short, we've visited couple of famous place that my husband think I have to see and experience since he has spent almost all his life in that big city.
We've watched several Broadway shows as well such as Radio City: The Christmas Show, Jersey Boys. New York taxi was an awesome experience and the water. To name a few,  Ruth Chris Steak House, Olivia Resto are some of the resto's we've tried. Times Square, Rockefeller Center which we went to the top, and of course the Empire State Building where we spent and waited for the 12:00AM of November 20th, my 25th birthday!! :)

The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island....tour at the bay, visited couple of museums. I can't come in detail. since it's been like 8months since I had this trip! :P

I feel bad that this is not updated. But all in all... I had a great time enjoying my new environment.

Hula's Island Grill, Santa Cruz,CA

My husband and I's favorite spot for a quick food trip is Hula's Island Grill located in downtown Santa Cruz. A small restaurant that is 20minutes drive away from our little home. My husband's passion for a tropical environment was enormous. The amazing music that will sooth you while enjoying the delicious food and the small talk with your company was just perfect. And this is what the restaurant has to offer to locals in the paradise of Santa Cruz. They have the Hawai'i atmosphere to feel and absorb plus the warm welcome and treatment from the staff. We just love it. Every once in a while we would visit this place for our favorite Hula's burger, Teriyaki New York Steak and my husband's Muay Thai and Margarita. They never fail in giving us the 5 star service that we always look for to every place we go to and as we gave back, a generous tip is always willing to wait.

Take a look at this dessert we enjoyed on our recent visit:

Just wanna share this Motivational video

Driving Lesson Done!

My driving lesson ended last Friday. I am more confident and even felt better this time. I can now drive at freeway at 65 to 70mph. (70mph is illegal)...so that's what I should be working on, to get familiar with the speed limit wherever I am driving. Sometimes I would went too fast, my trainer would even have to yell on me coz I even make a turn faster than what should I have done. Now I need more practice, needed someone to go with me everytime I need to go out for a drive while not having the professional driver's license. But unfortunately my husband can't sit beside me even once after the lessons coz he was too busy about work and don't wanna bother him for now. Hoping that one of this days we would have the opportunity to go driving, maybe end of September or October I am ready to take the DMV Road Test. My husband want me to take more lessons with the driving school I am enrolled but I completely denied it because we're just gonna waste our money paying them for just sitting behind me while giving me direction where in fact he could do it himself. Also, if I'll gonna do that it would be like spending my 2days pay from work just for 2HOURS lesson with my trainer. Not a good idea though he's paying it for me.
Life is expensive huh. I paid $289 for 6HOURS driving lesson (i mean my husband). $49 per hour for successive lessons, naaaahhh! >.<

FIRST DRIVING LESSON

It's August 11, 2011, i had my first driving lesson from the driving school I am in. So far, my instructor said I did it great today. Before we started, I assumed that were just gonna drive around the streets here near us but luckily we went through the high way going to the next town (not the busy street). I had accomplished 45 to 50mph on my first day and I can't believe that I was able to do that and somehow felt comfortable. of course, my instructor was very attentive, thanks to his own break pedal under his seat. It was fun, but still I need to work on break so we don't bang our head when I did it not-so-gently. also, the road line estimate not to occupy at least the next lane and alertness to oncoming traffic from parking lots.
We've been to 3 point U-turn lesson also and backing up which I think he made it advance (I'll have another instructor on my next lesson) . U-turn is a bit easier than backing up but he said, that's what everybody always find difficult. Practice is needed so better try it more often coz that's one of the DMV exams most critical error an examinee has always failed.
It was pretty good. Better luck next time...:)

Work

It was July 27 when I started my first job here in US. So far, I am enjoying it. There were lots of things to learn but people are also helpful and nice.
But after that day, I also got a call from another company I applied for to come for an interview which I did not go because I have work schedule in that day they want me to come.
Last Sunday, July 31, I got another call from another company I had applied to come for orientation after the interview I made with them. They were the very first interview I had before the current offer I got from the company I worked now but it took 2 weeks they made another call so I accepted the second one.
But i think I made the right choice so far, I have enough number of work hours given and just fair rate I guess.

Good Luck to me.
